Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone recommend a brand that's good for pale foundations?? I have pretty normal skin, bar the odd spot so I'm not looking for anything too specific. I just find it so hard to find foundations to match my skin tone, I'm extremely pale! So any responses welcome! :)

I am really pale too - I use Revlon ColourStay (the original one) in the lightest colour. Bourjois also have some lighter shades (their Healthy Mix comes in quite light colours).

Mac do a "lightening" foundation - Mac Face and Body in White (it is literally white) - that you can mix with other foundations to get the desired colour.

I find that loreal have good foundations. I find them very good because some have pink undertones instead of the usual orange.

I use Dainty Doll which is the one Nicola from Girls Aloud was involved in. I love it! I'm a very pale ginge and it suits perfectly. It's not available down here but Boots in Belfast do it and asos do it too I think!

Iam pale and I use Max Factor Last Performance in Fair and find it good for everday wear. It is only £6.71 on subscribe and save from Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001GNBVTY/ref=rcxsubs_dp_chrt?ie=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE
I also found the Estee Lauder Doublewear excellent and am going to treat myself soon for "good" wear" (can't remember which one I got a sample of though!)

Bobbi Brown in Alabaster and MAC in NC15 are both very pale, have used them both myself and would recommend. There's a variety of formulations in each brand, you're sure to find something to suit.

I'm currently using YSL Touche Eclat in B20.

I have the same problem OP! My skin is extremely fair, so much so that even the lightest shades in any of the major brands are still too dark for me.

I've had to resort to just buying a light shade in a foundation I like the texture of (I'm currently using Revlon Colourstay) and mixing it with a tiny bit of white foundation. I ordered Illamasqua's Rich Liquid Foundation in 105 from Debenhams back in March and still have absolutely LOADS of it left! Well worth the investment!

Great thanks so much! Used Bobbi Brown for a while and Estee Lauder Double Wear for ages, I actually can't remember why I stopped! Will definitely be hitting the make up counters this weekend!

I swear by L'oreal infallible in porcelain, or true match in rose ivory. They're the only foundations i've ever found pale enough, and have good coverage!

+1 for Illamasqua. I use their Skin base foundation in #2. It's an amazing foundation and they do far paler shades than you will find in any department or drug store. I discovered it at the beginning of the year after struggling for years to find anything to match my skin tone. The stuff lasts forever too. I have had mine for about 9 months now and I wear it everyday. I don't think they sell it in any of the Debenhams stores but they sell it on their website and that's where I get mine from. The Illamasqua website gives a good description of all of their shades which should help to guide you to the right one

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Porcelain (shade 0). Cost me £25 in Gatwick airport, worth every penny.

From my experience I love l'oreal true match, had that one twice. And now I'm trying revlon colour stay which I also really like. l'oreal true match probably has a better range of shades but colour stay works for me too.

Even the lightest shade of Estee Lauder Double Wear is very tanned for me. Do they have a new lighter shade out that I don't know about?

I have the HD MUFE foundation. I don't have the shade to hand, but I find that really matches my skin tone. They cater for quite pale skin.

For those who recommend Bobbi Brown in Alabaster, what is the best BB foundation for covering acne prone skin?

My natural colour is very pale as I have red hair. I have some faded freckles on my face but my neck is white. I use Estee Lauder Double Wear in Shell when I have no fake tan on. It's the best shade I've found with the coverage I desire.
