Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

How must Lukaku feel about being left on the bench in favour of a player who isn't even considered good enough to start for the Republic of Ireland!:D

Early yellow there. Honestly thought he was reaching for a red.

Lucky boy not to see red there.

Gera really should have done better there.

    Yea, pretty sure it was.

Good hit. Deflection leaves the keeper no chance.

Wicked deflection. How bad have Southampton's defense been! Not one player looks to close down the attacking threat from West Brom. Completely immobile! 1-0.

Serous lack of goals this game week.
Can't see that changing tonight either.

As long as Lambert doesn't assist or score a goal I'll be a very happy man.

Lallana is a very tidy player. He's got nice quick feet and can pick a pass.

Make, 4 in my house, whoever has the lowest Fantasy premier League points each weekend must make 5 cups for each other person that week. (4 cups this week since there is a Monday game)

Great pass by Long for that goal.

Super ball from Long, crowd really appreciated that too from the chants.

Nice from Long, pity he declared himself unavailable for the upcoming friendly, not doing himself any favours.

Long getting great reception as he comes off.

    Hope Trap is watching:rolleyes:

Love the West Brom chant for Lukaku.

Lukaku, woah! Lukaku, woah! He came from Stamford Bridge, he's bigger than a fridge!

Are Southampton really bad or West Brom really good? Either way West Brom have been ridiculously comfortable.

    That's a definite penalty.

West Brom have been really impressive at home this season. They lost to City there but have won all their other games in the EPL I think.

Really bad as far as I can see, quite toothless really.

I thought he was injured when the squad was done. Not the case?

All 12 or so of us out of the second week of a new LMS in work after the weekend so hoping for a roll over. 1 absolute weapon left in it today who has decided to pick West Brom. Balls.

    I think your right.

He should be first name on teamsheet for his country though.

Foster is such a good keeper. Nothing to do for pretty much the whole second half and then looks so comfortable when called upon.

Saints need to replace Adkins before the transfer window opens.

    Time for the second coming?

Still prone to a moment of madness now and then but yea, he is more often than not fairly solid.

Baggies up to 5th, hats off to Clarke, doing a great job so far.

Southampton were awful. They are gonners unless they do some serious overhaul.

Yeah but there was clearly a possibility with type of injury that he'd recover in time, no harm waiting and then declaring yourself unavailable closer to the date. I wouldn't be too happy if I was the manager.

Why? Because he can sit on the bench again when he should be starting?

Trap has treated him like crap

I mean there's not that much between himself and Keane(who always turned up for friendlies), you'd swear Long was a prolific scorer at the highest level, he's never even broke double figures in the prem. Obv more to his game than goals but let's not get carried away that this is some sort of massive injustice, the last time Irish fans did that they were left looking silly by a certain Sunderland flop this season.

    Shane Long is now 25.

The way its going and Robbie Keane sticks around until the end of this campaign, Shane Long will be waiting until he is 28 until he can get his chance for Ireland.

Since the time of Robson, West Brom have always looked to play easy on the eye football. Great to see it continuing under Clarke and the Baggies finally being rewarded for it.

Its not too premature to speak of them as possible candidates for 4th spot and a CL place. They're good enough for a top 7 finish and Europa League for definite. If they can get lucky and not lose key players to injury, then I think 4th spot is certainly attainable.
