Right so you guys speced me up a machine not long ago, i built for a mate. Thanks again.

So now its my turn, I'm very sad, got dumped by the missus and have been depressed to bits for months now, I'm trying to cheer myself up with this for a crimbo present for myself.

I have €4000 for a gaming rig (**** it i want to spend it all)

No point filling in the form as its just for gaming, you can leave out the keyboard and mouse. But need everything else including monitor or monitors.

What can ya recommend?

EDIT: Want to overclock the thing as much as i can, and no problems building myself.

AFAIK, for less than 2 grand you can spec a beast of a machine; diminishing returns after that. I'd wait for more opinions though

Note that the EK 680 blocks are there for placeholders. I'd go for the XSPC Razor blocks, as EK's look fugly.

The reason I've gone with two 680s is to allow for a step-up to two 780s when they arrive around March. If you weren't concerned with that, I'd go with two 7970s. You could go for a 690 either, but you'd most-likely loose your step-up option, as EVGA won't let you step up from one product to two, even if that's the only way to gain performance, and we won't be seeing a dual GK114/GK110 GPU part for a while after the 780's release.

I'm also not sure on the 800D. It's expensive, yes, but it's the only case off the top of my head that supports that much radiator internally. I'm sure there are others, I just banged this together quick, and watercooling takes a bit of research. There's always the old faithful TJ07 from Sliverstone, but I've never quite liked the looks of it. The dual 80mm fans at the rear put me off as well.

Apologies if that's a lot to digest... I tend to get a bit over-excited when asked to spec builds this high...
