Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I'm not a fan of skewed camera angles especially if they add nothing to the shot.
A lot of what I see here are record shots of other peoples art, though I like No. 5 with it's juxtaposition of old and new.

No. 4 looks cool and interesting though I can't quite figure what it is (crappy screen in work).

    I'm liking 1,4,6, & 8. They'd make a nice display i'd imagine hung together.

There's nothing in there though that would make me have an "ah" moment, ie. Ah, so that's Portland, that's what its all about.

What had you in mind as you were taking them and how did you approach your shoot - did you set out to take them as is, was the final output your desired goal.

Nothing spectacular, perhaps a little too benign, a little too safe but nothing terribly wrong either imho.

The mirrored ones mess with your head a little, but I quite like that. They challenge the senses.

    Nice.

Some of the shots required skewing the camera angle to get a clean shot, but I've been told that before. I kind of like it.

No. 4 is of a mirror in a venue called Doug Fir. Great music venue!

I had a ramble around Portland with my camera and the one thing that struck me was the amount of old signs/murals. I decided to go back out a few days later (when the rain stopped) to photograph them with the view of possibly framing 3 of them side by side.

I threw the mirror ones in there because I'm not sure about them. They look interesting but when you get your head around them they kinda fall flat imo. Was just wondering what other thought.
