Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Our midfielders look slow for some reason. Caught in possession 3 times so far.
We are coming into this far more now. Need another.

Santi has been very quiet so far, except that pass there for Podolski.

he's worth a chance, and if we can offload some of the drubbers in the squad soaking up high wages, he's worth a contract too.

+1 He has been impressive- hope it continues. It is early days but this team selection could have performed better against United.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,435 ✭✭✭wandatowell

did theo dink it past the keeper or did it rocket off his shin?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

Brilliant play from Podolski in the build up. He made the slip look intentional. :D

It was a dirty tackle by the Schalke player. If this ref saw that he would have a yellow card at least!

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,333 ✭✭✭bad2dabone

    Verm's really out of form.

It's a very disjointed performance by most of the team to be honest. They all seem to be lacking confidence or sharpness.

totally agree. I think we're a mentally fragile outfit. If we get a run of wins under us I think we'll grow, we just need that spark. If you compare us to Utd, they get beat and they come out the next week all guns blazing. We need more of that.

2-1, Arsenal were looking comfortable up to that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,500 ✭✭✭Fuzzy_Dunlop

Feck sake. Was a good goal but very bad timing and I don't know what happened with Cazorla there losing the ball.

2-1 now too many mistakes and they are giving the ball away too much. They have let Schalke back into the match now!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,984 ✭✭✭Soups123

    Balls

Same crap for their goal, another awful individual mistake + Kos was 5 yards behind the rest of the back line

    Bit harsh

Not firing on all cilinders but up until the goal looked comfortable. 2-1 away at half time In CL against a team of this quality is still excellent

But they didn't create it. We gifted them the ball yet again. Have great fears now as to our mindset for the second half.

On the contrary, I feel a bit more comfortable with the way the lads are playing. More fluid and have more control of the midfiled and creating scoring chances, I think we would win this one.

thats unfortunate to conceed so late but i would have bitten ur hand off before kickoff if u offered me 2-1 up after 45mins

Hope you're right but I dread it going 2 all as then I can see heads dropping like they did Sat.
