Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

MSNBC, not surprisingly, calling Virginia too close to call. Romney should win this one, could be a short night for him if he doesn't take it.

Obama up 3 points in Florida after 25% of the votes counted.

All looks like key states gone for Romney. Not going to be as close as thought earlier. No Romney break through in swing states.

    game over i think

  • Registered Users Posts: 555 ✭✭✭cristoir

According to CNN in Virginia the counties are producing virtually the same results as 2008. These are very early results though so they come with a warning label.

If Obama wins either Florida or Ohio then it's done. If you don't think it's done til California and Texas declare then great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,344 ✭✭✭buyer95

35% of votes counted in Florida, 52% - 48%, Obama has about a 100,000 lead, early doors yet though .link http://us.cnn.com/election/2012/results/state/FL/president

    Gonna be close in Ohio

A huge about of polls will close in 5 minutes. Most crucially Pennsylvania. If that calls early for the president it's a very good sign for him.

The Florida Panhandle will also be calling which could tip numbers there to Romney.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭brimal

Reports coming in that Obama is outperforming his 2008 results in certain FL counties and doing the same as 2008 in most of the other FL counties

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,217 ✭✭✭brimal

Actually CNN now reporting the swing counties in FL are going Obama's way

  • Registered Users Posts: 555 ✭✭✭cristoir

CNN's election music would be suited to an action movie. It's keeping me excited :D.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,190 ✭✭✭✭IvySlayer

Connecticut, Delaware, Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Maine, Massacheutas (I know spelling :P), Rhode Island to Obama!

Romney loses his own state, but wins Oklahoma and Alabama.

    Romney - 65

    Obama - 65

I know it's crap. You'd swear the election was 2 weeks from now, it's more of an academic debate than an election results show.

Early indications so far are very encouraging for Obama, Florida, Virginia and Ohio. If they hold up, it's all over.

Florida is going to be really tight, as predicted. 43% in, about 55,000 votes in it... Obama still leads
