Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

Myself and my gf are heading to NZ soon on WHV. We're flying into Auckland, and will probably travel around the north island for a while.
Just wondering where would be best to get work? I have a trade and she works in taxation.

    Any info is much appreciated.
    Cheers

I haven't been to the north island and haven't heard how easy/hard it is but I would suggest Christchurch for trade work. Plenty of work here. I'm an Engineer who came out with a job sorted but all the lads that landed with none were sorted in no time. You have a girlfriend so the lack of women (or perhaps the abundance of men) shouldn't bother you. It's a massive commitment but haven't met anyone who doesn't love it here. Best of luck with your decision and if you need more info on Chch just drop a line :)

IRD have tax work in all the main centres but probably more at Wellington. www.seek.co.nz should help you decide...

    Thanks for the replies.

I think we're going to give Auckland a go. If we dont find jobs there, we'll more than likely travel down to CHCH.
