Want to swap crampon binding

Have Grivel G12s with a back clip system. But boots not suitable. Was gonna buy Scarpas on eBay or somesuch but seems pricey for the few days on the Reeks that I'll get. A friend says he'll swap his G10s with the standard rear strap binding. The G12s have the struts in place to attach back binding, so was gonna explore…

The G12s have the struts in place to attach back binding, so was gonna explore possibility of simply taking off the clip and putting on rear binding. Anyone know where I could just acquire that part of a crampon?

Needlesports.com in keswick usually have crampon bits and bobs in stock, if they don't just email them and they'll do their best. Good crowd.
Shipping is a little on the dear side, so best treat yourself to a few other goodies.
Can never have too much gear!
