Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lexar Pro Series CF Card Corrupt

    Hey Guys,

Was shooting earlier on my 1D MK II with a Lexar Pro Series 400x CF Card in college, and it corrupted just before the end of our studio shoot which contained all the shots I'd got that day for my assignment which is due in about a week.

Tried recovering using the Sandisk RecoveryPro but it wouldn't read it.

Anyone know what I might be able to do to recover the images? Or are they completely gone?

All help would be really really useful!

    Cheers guys! :)

    -TS

Spray it with hairspray and leave it in the freezer overnight. Should do the trick.

What is saying that the images are corrupt? Can the camera still read/display the images? Are you putting the CF in to a card reader in your pc?

Use "recuva" program, has never failed me in recovering so far.

Images wont show on the camera, and instead showed a question mark, after which nothing would show up but can't read file system. Also remember that I got Error 2 on camera when it happened. Tried mounting in Windows and Linux with a card reader also, and it wouldn't mount and just wanted to be formatted.

Thanks Pix, I'll give it a try!

Even if your card does not show when you use recuva just try to recover anyway nominating the drive letter in which your card is. It worked for me .
