checked exchange rate on xe.com and the WD works out at 94 euro with super saver delivery.

I wouldn't bother buying an external just to take the drive out of it, unless the savings were absolutely massive. As soon as you open it, you void the warranty.

I use a lot of storage and in my experience its not rare to have a drive fail inside 2 years. You'll be glad of that warranty if you need it.

True, but still a good price.
