neighbours woodburner issues

    Hi folks,

I'm having trouble with my neighbours woodburner. My house is higher than theirs, and when they installed a woodburner they have the chimney flush with their roof.

This means that any time the wind is blowing toward my house, my living room stinks of the smoke. Someday I may gather the stones to ask them to raise the flue-however in the meantime I hope to block up the two vents that are letting the smoke into my living room.

I need to know if this is safe given that
    • it is a large room
    • with vents in the 3 windows
    • and a chimney.

Is this enough ventilation without the need of the 2 wall vents? I plan to fill the vents with insulation if it's relevant at all.
