    Hi guys,

I'm an international student here in Waterford, Ireland, and curious to meet Irish people :)

I'd be very happy to make friends here, if any of you are interested.

    Thanks

Sean O'Jamot (My new Irish name)

You've already made friends by joining this forum although I'd lose the name, Irish people have a reputation for being friendly but some might find that patronising.
If you're in WIT then the Students' Union is a good place to start.

    Hi Bmaxi,

Yes, Irish people are very friendly :) I enjoy exchanging smiles and greeting "hello" with random people in the streets of Waterford :)

Yes, Student Union seems a good idea, thank you :)

so, do you live in Wexford?

From trying to pronounce your name in my head I kinda get a sean-ish vibe off it, so I'd say keep the Sean, but for feck sake drop the O'

Sean give the impression that you are making the effort, but the O' comes across as a bit of a pisstake

I'm a student here too, what are you studying in W.I.T?

ah I see from another post that you are doing Applied Computing.

    Hi Tzar Chasm,

Yes, I'm studying for a Higher Diploma in Applied Computing, and how about you?
Are you studying in WIT as well?

    That's great :)

Well, have Programming/Java classes from 9:15 to 11:15 in E13 and IT120, but from 11:15 to 1:15, we have Architecture OS & Networking classes in D04.

    Are you in first year?

Yes, I have joined swimming club so far yet...

    No, I'm not a typical Pakistani, and I don't like Cricket :D

I wasn't outgoing in Pakistan, I stayed most of my life inside my room in Pakistan, playing video games, and surfing internet...

Closing this thread (and two others) as you've cross posted this in multiple forums. Please stick to the one thread. The first thread you posted (here) is still open.
