What happened to the pig? Was the deflating intentional?

The section we were in felt that he had been on the whole over 3 year long tour and that it had malfunctioned and is now in pieces in sitting rooms across Ireland.

Can anyone confirm what happened to the pig?

Oh - and amazing show - but its all been said in so many better ways. This was my 5th time seeing Roger and every single time he tops his last show. :D
For this leg of the tour the pig has been intentionally lowered into the audience to be ripped to pieces every night - he is 'sacrificed'.:)

Must have a whole sty of the bastards then.

It was kinda fun to watch it wopple and tobble and just rear up before being torn down by the horde.

Amazing and tragic at all once! We had assumed it was the same pig the whole tour and there was a malfunction and was lost! So its not so tragic now!

So many funny lines (mostly Simpsons!) were said afterwards:

Such a pitty - he only had one more day (gig) left until retirement!

How is Peter Frampton going to buy it from Pink Floyd's lawnsale now?!

Also comments about that day also being "National Talk Like A Pirate Day" were linked in as well. I wonder how many "pig pillagers" claimed a piece? Any sellers on ebay or adverts?! Haha:D

Ah, don't be. Yes, it was an amazing concert but it took money, and planning and time to get there and if it wasn't convenient for you at the time for whatever reason, so be it. I'm sure there were other gigs you've seen recently or whatever- I could have gone to Fleetwood Mac too but decided I'd spent enough this year already.

I was listening on Spotify to a few songs from The Wall from In the Flesh Live from 2000. Some difference in the quality of the live performance. Took this video. Crappy camera phone, was hoping it would have come out better. He shot us!

Amazing pictures rednik. I've saved them on my computer as a memory of a great night. Unfortunately left the camera behind at home but these pictures more than make up for it.

That gig was an absolute triumph.
Well attended by an appreciative crowd and a spectacle of a show that will never be surpassed, incredible sound and imagery.
    Let's hope for a 5.1 blu-ray release someday!

Is there anything in the pipeline for this? I really hope so. I cant stop thinking about the show! And the smell of gange that went up when Comfortably Numb kicked in :) And that was in the premium seats!!

I remember reading he recorded the Greece shows last time around. Also in another brick, the video displayed from behind RW onto the crowd wasn't from the Aviva, there was definitely more people standing and clapping than at the Aviva, so they are recording something.

He apparently said that there will be a dvd of the current shows released, Waters has been sitting on some of the original Earls Court footage from 1980 too which is getting a Led Zeppelin style job of restoration, so hopefully it will be a Is there anybody out there with vision.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

they got to take the bricks home! He has videos or people walking out with the cardboard bricks.
I'd safely say it was some pain to get home with them!!

Anyway,I have to laugh at some of the so called capitalist symbolism projected onto the wall during the show I.e Mercedes,Shell etc. For a man with an estimated nett worth of £300 million prior to this current tour (fair play to him) he's done quite well by "The System". There's nothing as boring as rich, messed up rock stars preaching politics. Love the music but I think R.W lives in a bubble and has his head up his rear end, the fans live in the real world etc.

ya i have no time for that either, tut tutting about the evils of the capitalist system, and then he goes off to his mansion in the leafy suburbs of surrey, ya Roger you tell em

champagne socialism i think they call it

Very worried about the Brit Floyd gig.

Flat seating seats have sold OK and block D seems sold out.

Block C and E have sold sparsely but all the other blocks remain unsold.

This should probably be moved to the Olympia or Bord Gais Energy Theatre?

Tom Odell plays the Olympia that night, and West Side Story is in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.

but if that wasn't on, it may be the case that their stage show may be too large for either venue.

they were very impressive when they played the O2 last time.

The balcony blocks in the O2 can be partitioned off, with a screen that looks like a brick wall, if they are not used.

Just wondering, how can you find out how many seats are sold by the options on ticketmaster.ie.

is it possible to find out which seats are sold

the reason I ask is that on ticketmaster.ie they don't seem to give the option of being able to see what seats are sold and what seats are available, in the way that we can see, when buying a ticket for a show in the Gaiety or in the National Concert Hall, which is more convenient!:)
