    Hi Guys

I have 400-600 to spend on a TV, really as coming up to Xmas want as cheap as possible. At the moment I have a Hyundai 32" HD Ready TV I bought back in the day off Xtravision for around a grand. Looking to replace and move the Hyundai into game room for the xbox. I have been looking around but not sure what to get. TV is right beside NTL broadband so can use Smart TV if it is worthwhile but no a big plus as I have a number of laptops and xbox/iphones etc all to access internet.

Also what should I look out for on TV, there is loads available. I see Plasma is cheap but I heard these are poor pictures and they burn out after a few years? http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-4...bbannermiddle2

    Any tips??? thanks

    Hi Nelly,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

Are you looking for another 32" or would you like to go bigger? Thankfully the prices of TV have come down since then :)

With your budget there is quite a few options. Personally I prefer LED as I think its a more sharper picture. I also like the neatness of the TV aswell.

For an example check out the screen below:

    http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/lg/42ls570t/lg-42ls570t

This is a 42" Full HD Smart LED screen. Dont know if this is maybe too big? The picture quality is excellent, it's also 200hz so motion handling is fantastic.

This is a smart TV so when connected to your router will give you access to Youtube, Facebook and other apps for your TV.

This comes in at €649.22 inc delivery. A little over budget but its worth the extra :)

    Chris

Check it out and let me know what you think.

    Hi Chris

Thanks for reply, I think it is a bit expensive to be honest

Can get the following from Powercity/DID: http://www.powercity.ie/?par=10-13-40ES550&pages=1&prod=40ES550&brands=SAMSUNG&image=

Seem to be similar spec as above only 2" smaller which is not an issue. Do you have something similar?

    BN,

apologies for the delay getting back to you - unfortunately we don't stock the 40ES5500 locally at the moment - if you did want a good TV (bearing in mind your earlier Plasma comments) I can recommend the Panasonic TXP42X50 which we are listing now at £349.95 / €439.99 it is just decent quality and not full of features but to be honest it puts many LCD and LED TV's that are far more expensive to shame..

    keep me posted,
