    How is it jumping the gun? If they don't like the game after playing it for two days it's not going to improve in the next week, month or year.

    Might as well trade it in early and get more € for it.

    How do you know it's not going to change? Treyarch have been pretty good in the past for fixing things.

    At the end of the day it's an opinion. An mine is that I think he's jumped the gun.

    But the game will change. They won't just leave everything as it is now. Do you not remember the countless patches and improvements that were brought out for BO 1? Its not like the developers will just sit back on their arse's for the next year.

    On the other hand, if he dislikes it that much he might as well just get rid of it.

    Anyone finding the guns really inconsistent? the first few times i used the silenced vector i was killing people no prob, now its taking ages to put them down

    Yeah I noticed that myself, I thought it was just my connection. I never noticed before but I seem to have an awful habit of counting bullets. I'll shoot someone a couple times and then start to turn around, but they're not dead :pac: Well, they would have been dead in MW3 :o its getting me killed a lot.

    Getting sick of firing over half a clip into someone's upper torso/head only for them to down me in one shot. Several situations where I've been mauled after I've taken 2 or 3 guys by surprise where it would have been an almost garaunteed multi-kill in every other COD.

    Pretty sure the game uses VAC anyway(Along with whatever server-side anti-cheat they use themselves).. so if they get caught they'll get vac banned which will mean they'll not be able to play MP, since there are no unofficial servers.

    Vac bans usually work in waves i think, so just cause someones hacking, doesn't mean they wont be banned in a few days. Its gay, but hackers are one of the biggest negatives with PC gaming unfortunately, even if it is very rare to come across one.

    The lack of score/Xp in S&D is a bit of a joke. Loved it in Blops 1. That and the spawns and snipers.

    yeah i played nukedown moshpit and s&d came up twice in a row, its kind of a waste really 100xp a kill? and having to wait ages to respawn, least 500xp a kill made it worthwhile putting in the effort, may as well play tdm or domination instead. Hardpoint is great for racking up xp, you get it for capturing, killing while defending in it, killing someone else defending it etc etc. its a fun little mode, pity holding the point doesnt accumulate xp as well like it does in HQ though.

    Amount of UAV's is ridiculous. I spend the whole game shooting them down. Doesn't help when there people on your team going 5-20.

    Its getting fairly annoying alright, especially when theres no SAM turrets, should be like was suggested earlier that your uav only shows enemies for you. lost count of the amount of times someone just prefired around a corner as they knew i was there.

    It seems if i have something else using my net connection I get better hit detection, like a small torrent or netflix or something, is that lag compensation? people on 3 bars are beating me in 1v1 gunfights when I'm on 4 bars. I can empty half a clip into someone and they put me down in 2-3 rounds, really annoying.

    I'll be the only one complaining about this I imagine, but the emblem editor in this sucks compared to it's predecessor. Only good thing is there is a grid.

    Used to be 1000XP for a headshot too! It's a shame because S&D is a great game mode. In terms of XP I also miss the specialist class from MW3, it was great for racking up XP quickly.

    One question re Nuketown, is it just staying in it's own playlist for good? It's annoying its only a mosh pit playlist, I like Nuketown but theres a few game modes I don't like playing on it, would be nice to be able to pick the seperate game modes.

    Really, really dont like how Domination is timed now, twice last night we triple capped and there wasnt enough time on the clock to reverse the score, so now all you have to do is win for the long enough and even if the other team triple caps it cant swing back in their favour, which is what domination is about.

    It is, it actually ruins the flow of the match, the whole point of domination is trying to hold 2 or all flags not swapping sides and having to cap them all again. I wonder did they do it to make it more even on maps where the layout favours certain flags more than others. getting to B is always easier from certain points on maps from the off depending on what side you start on, or I'm just imagining things lol

    that map Slums is the new Terminal corridor of death, looking across the courtyard with the big water fountain where B is, its a nightmare trying to cap it back.

    If you/your team have let them get that far in front then surly it's your/your teams fault there is enough time no? I understand it's domination and the aim is to dominate but the time and change over is the same for both sides. I'd imagine they did it due to maps like mission on MW3, if you spawn A... Your gonna have a bad time

    Why bother paying for good internet if you are just put into lobbies with yanks and Germans over and over. I don't remember the last time I saw/heard an Irish person in the game.

    I don't think it's that. I think it's a combination of the spawns (remember Treyarch altered the spawns in Black Ops 1 for Nuketown not long after release because they were god awful) and the gun power/recoil.

    In BOPS1, even going solo it was easier to maintain map control more often than not. In this, not so much.

    Let's be honest, you'd want to be insane to think BLOPS2 is worse than MW3 - so on that front, at least we can say that this game is a step in the right direction. But we were already scraping the bottom of the barrel with last years game so anything Treyarch threw out would have been better even if it had wizards, dinosaurs, goblins and Mario running around the maps collecting mushrooms. The only thing MW3 was any use for was perhaps a coaster. Granted it's not the best argument to praise BLOPS2 but that's the position I'm in right now. Some of you may find it hard to make that connection but I just found MW3 shocking. It was the pitts. Absolutely f*cking tripe. And for that reason alone, I'm going to give Treyarch more than a chance with this.

    A lot of people are having serious lag problems but that will pass. Every COD had hiccups in the first couple of weeks but I've far more belief in Vonderhaar than the new idiots over at IW to fix their game sharpish. Treyarch have a great history of it. Having said that, other glitches or whatever could easily be smoothed out with a BETA and I'd be in favour of that....whatever the politics of it over in Activision.

    I'm the first one to critic Call of Duty but I think Treyarch have done the most they can. It's a different animal than it was 5 years ago. It's the biggest franchise globally and I believe the only way to take it forward is to open it up to the community, the creative, the innovators. It has to be open source. I'd like to see modders get creative with maps/game modes and just about everything else for the community to look at, see what works and what doesn't etc. I understand this wasn't much of a megabitch but I do have one complaint....

    The Zombies this year.....I consider Tranzit one map. Where are the rest? I'm not going to accept Tranzit all cut up into tiny parts are 3/4 different maps!!

    i taught mw2 and 3 were the worst of the cods just all over the place hectic games, no gun v gun at all.

    blops2 is ok , not mad on it because its baiscally nothing amazing like every single cod since modern warfare 1. The only thing thats really pis*in me off is the amount of sniping and how sh*t the maps are.

    Just played on the ps3 for a few hours... Still has those new release lag issues it seems. Really doesn't feel smooth at all. Kinda frustrating.. Me playing like im using my feet probably didn't help ! Its weird how limited u feel coming from kb/mouse to a gamepad after nearly a year barely playing on ps3.

    Ohhhhh and has anyone used a escort drone yet... Seemed to bug out on me earlier and killed me 3 or 4 times in a row.. Like it was crashing into me lol

    Theater is a load of bollocks still. It says matches I won are losses, and doesn't record the entire game despite no host migrations for the most part. Could forgive them for messing up 2 years ago as they just introduced it but this is beyond tedious at this point.

    I was wondering what was wrong with it. I was hoping to look back over some good clips I got but I went into theatre and didn't know what was going on. I wasn't sure if there was a delay in the match finishing and the theatre version being available or if it was just broken. It said I had lost some matches by a couple of hundred points when I had actually won.

    They better bring out a patch before next week or I'll be seriously pissed.

    Yeah it's a total cluster duck but can be fun sometimes. I'm actually enjoying the maps though I have to say, most of them anyway. Funnily enough I thought hijacked looked terrible in the pre release clips but it's probably my favourite map now, particularly for TDM and domination.

    I couldn't agree more.

    When COD4 launched, it brought in a whole generation of new gamers that may not have even had the slightest interest or knowledge of the Quakes, Dooms and Counter-Strikes of this world that went before it - it was new, fresh. But Call of Duty has always been Call of Duty and it WILL always be Call of Duty....that's just the way the game is. It is what it is and for those that say it hasn't changed this or that, well...have they considered the fact that they may just be running on empty when it comes to the actual mechanics of the game itself? Now we can criticise for what the developers have or have not done tweak/map-wise but I think it's safe to say that the core of the gameplay will always be the same. FIFA never changes, 22 players kicking a ball around a green pitch....so why do people expect COD to be any different? That's why I find it hard to get excited anymore at this time of year because I know when I'm on my way to the store that what I'm buying is an updated version of a five year old game.

    You mentioned map design which leads me back to a previous post. I really believe the community needs to get their hands on the mod tools with Activisions full support. Most of the memorable maps of earlier games across all genres where done outside official studios. The developers got their hands on them and with their fancy budget, made them sparkly and all shiny. :D
    This is what needs to happen in CoD. NukeTown Zombies was a mod for W@W. Treyarch have long been taking ideas from the modding community. I just wish they embraced them and got them in on the act a little more by holding map design competitions for us, the consumers to analyse and dissect before passing judgement and voting on which one's we feel will play better etc. Then Treyarch can go to work with the barebones and build it up.

    So get the consumer in by asking us what game WE want as opposed to all the "it's a secret...wait for release BS". After all, we're the one's buying it....it should be OUR game.
