Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Windows 8, Ticking sound from speakers when holding a key on a PS2 Keyboard

It only happens on my Qpad MK80 PS mechanical Keyboard, my other USB keyboard is fine.
It does not click when I hold the FN key on the Qpad

I have disabled Windows Sounds and I have tried different speakers and headphones.
    I have disabled all mics.
I have turned off filter, sticky, and toggle keys.
When I lower the volume the ticking noise gets lower.
It happens in games and in Windows

This has only happened after I installed Windows 8
Here is a video, you'll hear the initial click and then the ticking

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

Hmm. Definitely to do with the mechanical-nature of the KB.

Is the board connected directly via PS/2 or is it using a PS/2-to-USB adapter?

PS/2 connection, the driver for the keyboard is the 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard'

I enabled the on-board audio and that didnt give a ticking noise so I updated to the Beta Driver for the Creative X-fi sound card.
    No more ticking
