Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Evra was bad there, Ireland has some eye for a good pass

We're getting caught out on the counter attack so badly

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

Villa yet again looking dangerous on the counter - Big chance there to go one up.

Everytime a cross came in for Bent I'd wish Benteke was playing....

Now every half chance we've had I'm pining after Bent:(

3 Chances for Benteke so far

I think our wingers need to come inside now and again to mix it up, it's so frustrating watching them sometimes

Was I imagining the United fans booing the Petrov applause?

Pretty sure they started chanting 19 19 19! For 19 PL titles.

Villa fans responded with 'no respect'.

    Maybe i'm wrong.

Jesus Tony. That cross would of decapitated you if you went for it.

I'm almost sure I heard alot of booing. Either way, the Villa fans pretty much have it nailed on. No respect.

Scholesy is a bit off the pace

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    Bloody hell Scholes

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

For me Scholes is a great player to bring on when the opposition is tiring.

He aint cut for 90 mins anymore

Stephen Ireland is beasting Scholes so far.

Almost? Did you or did you not?

Don't see why it's no respect either btw. Far too sensitive.

Hardly an achievement though considering how bad Scholes looks this year

What is this ref at, three fine challenges by Ireland given as frees, pathetic referring.

Would be shocked if United kept a clean sheet tonight.

    Is Scholes a protected species?
None of those 3 were frees in my opinion.

    Ireland all over Scholesy here...

Ref deservedly getting booed by the Villa fans for some soft decisions in United's favour.

The one which put Benteke in was a definite free.

In no way was that first tackle a fair one. Clearly clips his foot and trips him.

They're adopting the Hack-a-Shaq policy on Scholes. Working well.

Yep, World-Feed commentary saying "Scholes having to work much harder now because Ireland is"

    Villa playing well here

I did yeah I was just confused that nobody else had picked up on it, hence starting to doubt myself.

Because its a minutes applause for someone suffering from leukemia. Is chanting through minutes silences ok for you too or just applauses?

Is there a rule that says you have to shut up supporting your team during an unofficial minutes applause. It happens every week. Villa can do as they please. United fans can aswell.

    0-0 all over it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,109 ✭✭✭Patser

Utd keeping ball too easy, Weimann to much like a headless chicken everytime he gets the ball - head down, charge, lose ball, repeat

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    0-0 all over it.

No way this will finish 0-0.

Valencia getting lots of the ball but doing nothing with it. Rooney isn't passing well

Yeah, I'd have Carrick off though, even though Scholes hasn't been great up to now.

No effort from Carrick as of yet.

The chanting was being directed at the minutes applause.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,416 ✭✭✭Jimmy Iovine

Valencia's lack of a left foot is exposed again. That's where Nani is a better player. He'd have cut inside Stevens and driven at goal. Valencia was pushed back from the corner flag to the half-way line.

Carrick and Scholes for Cleverley and Ando please.

I kind of agree with this. Real do it every home game in the 7th minute for Juanito as well.

Been really impressed with Ireland so far. He's finding plenty of space in between the midfield and back four and looks threatening every time he gets the ball.

All that was chanted was 19. 19 being Petrov's number and the amount of times United have won the league. OH NOES! Quit your crying and looking for something out of nothing. Btw, i'm not sure if 'no respect' was what Villa were chanting back.

Not like we were booing or anything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,949 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

    United's passing is atrocious

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,329 ✭✭✭Manc-Red

United can't string a few simple passes together as of yet, very sloppy on the wings too.

No respect was definitely what they were chanting. Grand sure, everyone can have a nice singsong during the next minutes silence for the Munich disaster, sure its just supporting your team. ****etalk.

What is it with the 5.30pm kick offs, there is never any atmosphere and the matches are usually rubbish.

Motd will struggle to get a highlights reel out of the first half anyways, game is very narrow

Plenty will anyway and those people are idiots.

Chanting 19 now is a bad thing apparently. Jesus, dry those eyes seriously.
