Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Benteke - Kicks Young when Young nicks the ball away from him. No foul. Rio uses his strength against him and a foul is given.

No respect was definitely what they were chanting. Grand sure, everyone can have a nice singsong during the next minutes silence for the Munich disaster, sure its just supporting your team. ****etalk.

It's totally different. If United were doing it every week in the 58th minute, then yes, people would be entitled to sing.

    Shocking stuff so far.

Fecks sake Villa, a cross is not 'boot the ball as hard as you can!!!'. Look up when you have space

Plenty will anyway and those people are idiots.

Chanting 19 now is a bad thing apparently. Jesus, dry those eyes seriously.

I think and hope it's just a case of both of them having a poor game at the same time.

    Wow, very interesting.

You should take your moral outrage to a Villa forum. See how they feel.

Sing directly at those being silent? That'd be ok? The absolute ruckus that would be created if someone chanted 'You're not singing anymore' at the weekly Munich silence.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS GET IN

Poor from Smalling and De Gea.

Valencia has been rubbish with the ball

What a Strike . Smalling should have fouled him out on the wing .

    Great power, great goal...

Great play by Benteke. Easily out-muscling the Utd defender.

    Serious improvement needed 2nd half.
    This is fúcking shíte

Please tell me how what Benteke did to Smalling there is any different to what Ferdinand did to Benteke 5 minutes earlier.

Also, Alan Smith talking about De Gea being disappointed with that? **** off, tbh.

    LOL

What was Smalling doing after he went down there? Looked like he was doing an impression of a fish out of water.

:) Great play from Benteke and a great finish

Still see united coming back but given the chances we had we needed to get one before half time

Aye, was just going to post that. If Ferdinand's was a foul, that was a foul. Of course, neither were tbf, but the conspiracy idiots will ignore that

Hit with some power, but it was straight at De Gea, should have got a hand to it at least

Joke of a team selection by Ferguson. Get Nani, Anderson and Hernandez on.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 930 ✭✭✭aperture_nuig

Our midfield 4 have been woeful, with only Young being mildly threatening. Anderson on, Scholes off. Hairdryer in full force at half time I'd recon.

Don't think an injured nani is much better than valencia:confused:

Looked very similar to me. Can't see much of a difference.

Need to bring on Anderson or Cleverley. Static central midfield is making us far too predicatable. Back to the give to Scholes/Carrick, pass to win, swing crosses in nonsense. Valencia also being found out.

All the other team has to do is stop the crosses and we can't score, bar an individual effort from RVP, Rooney...

The worst is when we're probing on the edge of the opposition's box and Valencia and Young just stand out near the corner flag contributing nothing. They need to take a chance and come in centrally

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

Brutal from Smalling. Maybe questions about De Gea too but it was a class finish.

Scholes and Carrick together should be history. It's such a slow partnership it affects the whole tempo of the team. Cleverley or Anderson on for Scoles please and you will see the pace of the whole team improve.

Rooney and Tony have been pretty shocking. RVP barely had a kick.

Ferdinand put his foot in front of Benteke and tripped him, clearly seen especially in the replay (and by the ref standing right beside it)

Benteke went shoulder to shoulder with Smalling and used his strenght to get the ball, the same way defenders normally win the ball in those situations.
