First win of the season for FRF

    Balls...

This easily is my worst start to a season ever.. just hope tonight breaks that trend

Fairly well schooled there. Got over my procrastination and took the prop off the wing on my default line-up, so no chance of anyone exploiting that oversight anymore. (hopefully)

Is it possible to join this league now or would I have to wait until the season is over?

Have to wait til the season is over I'm afraid, we're already a few matches in. Well worth the wait though :)

Good game Krissovo! Looking at our previous encounters, all have been one score games (2 draws!) but I've never beaten ya...rage...:D

You are the only club I have played where the results are so consistent and tight. I have even varied tactics and lineups and still we are so close.

What is more amazing is that I am slightly backs dominant and your forwards biased but we cancel each other out every time:eek:

    Week 4
Ulster trials v Westside WESTSIDE BY 30
Revan RFC v newcastle west NEWCASTLE BY 25
Rath Rugby Club v Exiles RATH BY 20
kilsough South Warriors v Fingal Physicians KILSOUGH BY 10

before i start my round 4 round-up, just gona have a quick look at my pre match predictions ..

Ulster trials v Westside WESTSIDE BY 29 (1 point off)
Revan RFC v newcastle west NEWCASTLE BY 27 (2 points off)
Rath Rugby Club v Exiles RATH BY 2 (18 points off)
kilsough South Warriors v Fingal Physicians KILSOUGH BY 20 (10 points off)

so guessed 4 out of 4 winners, actually made good guesses for the first too matches! 1 point in the WestSide/Ulster match and 2 points in the Newcastle/Revan slugfest!

But clearly i wrote off Exiles and they put in a good display against Rath pushing them to within 2 points.

I guessed the Physicians could of closing the gap to within 10 points, but Kilsough were too strong in the end.

    7 Revan RFC 4 1 3 0 71 132 -61 1 0 5
    8 Ulster Trials 4 0 4 0 44 114 -70 0 1 1

It was a week of ill disipline and shots at goal. Only one team of the 8 achieved the Try Bonus Point this week, can anyone guess who??

First up we have Westside V Ulster Trials in a very one sided affair. Westsides Sila Molias gave an absolute masterclass in the no.10 slot, providing 26 of his teams 36 points on the day with a try, 3 conversions and 5 penalties to see off the Ulster boys.

Next up we have the most entertaining tie of the round as the Exiles traveled to Rath. They really brought the game to their hosts, outscoring them 3 tries to 2, but their aggressive style of play would be their downfall. Even though the penalty could was relatively low overall, (Rath conceding 8 and The Exiles conceding 9) Raths fly half Quincy Glover slotted 5 out of 6 penalties, the final one coming in the 74th minute when the Exiles were actually head 27 points to 26 with the match then ending 29-27 to Rath.

As with the previous encounter, it would be discipline that would be the major factor in Kilsough Souths home game against the Physicians. Six penalties and a conversion from the boot of Remigio Delgado dismantled Fingals attempt to ever seriously threaten the Warriors as they walked away 30-10 in what can only be called a comfortable win.

in the final match of the review (final as i took me this long to build up the courage to look back over this match) Newcastle West and Revan went toe to toe in Waterford, and in a showcase of running rugby from both sides (the Westies with 498 metres gained and 8 linebreaks versus Revans 300 metres and 6 breaks) Newcastle blew away the oppositions line of defence over and over and sealed the TBP before the halftime buzzer sounded.
With their minds firmly on the bus back to Limerick, the Black Pigs leaked 3 second half tries to Revan, but the home team couldnt push hard enough for the TBP themselves.

This Weeks action leaves Newcastle West high above all in the table with 4 BP wins out of 4. Westside and Kilsough are still fighting it out for 2nd at the moment, with Fingal and Rath close by waiting for someone above them to make a mistake in order to jump into a trophy position.

This week will see a top and a bottom of the table clash with the league leaders Newcastle West visit Westside and Revan host Ulster.

Predictions to follow closer to Thursday!

Updated for two weeks, some cracking matches in there. Notable the thriller between Polk High and fight club. 11 tries later only 4 pts separated them. the win was enough to see Polk claim first place for now, but the bonus pts picked up in the match mean that fight club are right on their tales, only one point behind.

Additionally BJD was unlucky having not got anything from running fight club close, going down 16-06, the only team to not concede numerous tries to them!

Nearing the halfway mark and more bonus point from losses than tries scored shows how tight this division has been.

MWSAG are the only unbeaten team in the division and sit top at Christmas, but what is amazing is that they have no bonus points to their name! (I really hope that isn't a mistake after pointing it out here). Killarney and Ladyboys make up the top three while Grubber and Barracuda are level at the bottom.

Who does Div III again? I've no idea how I'm doing. I get the feeling I'm mid-table-ish.

Close at the top of division 3 after week 6 and while East Coast Tinders and Yermen are currently in the promotion spots one loss could see either drop out of them.

Gideons, Reaper and FRF will need to up their respective games if the trio don't want to drift to far from the rest.
