Why don't cars come with an extra horn that sounds like a Rottweiler?

Have you got a pussy in your bonnet?

The problem with this sort of tread is, it gives the high horse brigade a place to make themselves feel a little bit more special.

The high horse brigade aren't affected by this issue.
I've yet to hear of a cat crawling up a horses arse for warmth.

thanks! We nearly lost our cat last year when this happened. He ended up needing surgery on his leg that cost over 700 euro  Important thing is he is fine now and we managed to save the leg :)

The problem with this sort of thread is that it gives the cat hating dunce-folk a platform to vent their anger.

Feel special about themselves because they cannot get that feeling anywhere else, only through an anonymous internet thread. Fixed your post :D

    Um.....I have a question.

Won't a cat thats frightened seek somewhere to hide ??

So won't knocking on the bonnet only encourage a cat to stay in the dark warm place they are already hiding in ?

Great. And the house smells like a litter tray.
Message to dog and cat owners:
If you let or keep them in the house your house smells like cat or dog and most probably smells like their toilet. So many pet owners think their house doesn't smell. Well it does, if the animals are in the house, your house SMELLS.
Houses cant smell, they dont have noses!:D

    Cats eat electrical wires

No they dont. They eat meat (they may chew wires - they dont eat them).

Wire is pretty low in essential nutrients. Except copper I guess.

I strongly suspect that if we put this question to an animal psychiatrist, they would agree.

I remember we had a deaf kitten once, white with blue eyes. One day I was driving up to town to get the papers when I heard a little thud about half a kilometre up the road.

The poor kitten had been resting in the inside wheel and had never heard the car start.
He'd fallen out andthe tyre ran over his head. It was not a pretty sight. Poor misfortunate kitten.

This happened to a neighbour of mine years ago. Her cat took shelter shelter under the hood, contact, boom... cat pulverised. Nobody every told her and for years she'd come out with cat food and call for the cat. It's horrible and I love cats but we laughed and laughed...

I don't get this hatred for cats? Loads of people profess to hate them, but what's to hate, really? I quite like cats, not a single moggie has ever tried to mug me or burn my car, very few Toms have raped my missus and I've seldom been burgled by a kitten, so, what's to hate? They are also fluffy.:D

"Hate" is a state normally reserved for intense fear or anger of someone or thing.

Ailurophobes are defined as hating or fearing little puddy cats - for shame!

The Phobos part denotes "fear" ie in this case the irrational fear or hatred of cats

It peculiar that people who claim to "hate" cats rarely can if ever can give a rational explanation of why this is.

They often come out witha list various alleged traits that cats are supposed to have they claim they do not like BUT in essence nearly all explanations come out as hate filled rants against an animal that really does not pose any real physical risk (and before anyone does start on the health issues - dogs can carry a similar health risk as cats tbh)

Imo this "hate" appears to be linked to a deranged notion that the RCC church purported that cats were familiar spirits with links to witches and the dark arts - ooohhhhhh!

The "hatred" of cats as something more than just a pet remains out there, often coming to fore whenever the word cat is even mentioned.

So leaving the middle ages behind u, do tell what exactly did some big mean pussy cat do to you personally to engender such hate / fear?

I might 'dislike' spider but I dont "hate" them tbh I might dislike curry but I neither fear not hate it....

I am of course not a psychologist but I'm sure there must be one on here somewhere that might be able to point you in the right direction

Best of luck with that"hatred" thing there anyway....

We found a cat yesterday that was caked in engine oil and missing from the far side of the town.

Glen Quagmire is assisting police with their enquiries

I've seen one of our cats descend from the engine once

We had an iguana behind the speedometer once, he spooked, ran between my father's feet and up behind the dashboard

I always knock on the bonnet to warn cats I'm about to drive off. But the cat just shouts "fcuk off, I don't want any of whatever you're selling". :/
