    Hi all,

We would like to announce the merging of some of our branches.

Firstly, in our branch located at Patrick’s Bridge, Cork will be merging with our branch located nearby at Patrick Street, Cork. Also our branch located at 94 O’Connell Street, Limerick will be merging with the branch located approximately 350 metres down the road at 125 O’Connell Street, Limerick. We’ve done this very successfully in recent years where we have an over-concentration of branches in the same area.

These merges will take effect in early February 2013. Once the merges are complete the Patrick’s Bridge and 94 O’Connell Street premises will continue to be used by Bank of Ireland for back-office administration but will be closed to the public.

Our branches at Patrick Street and 125 O’Connell Street have both undergone extensive refurbishment this year and now provide our customers with a modern, welcoming interior, a large customer self-service area and a range of personal and business banking services. The investment in this branch is part of our strategy to deliver a superior customer experience whilst continuing to provide a full nationwide branch network and a strong local presence.

Many of our staff will be relocating to the remaining branches so you will see many familiar faces. Your relationship is important to us and we will do everything possible to ensure this relationship is not disrupted.

Our customers will not have to do anything. There will be no change in your account details. Your account number, cards, PIN Number, 365 login and other details will remain the same. There is no action you need to take.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask us here.

    Thanks
    Pat
