Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Just purchased a 2nd hand iphone and was going to buy the extended warranty from Apple as the phone is still within the 1 year warranty period.
I've seen on some sites that you can buy it at any time within the year but found this on the apple site below..anyone know for sure?

AppleCare+ must be purchased within 30 days of the date you bought your new iPhone. If you did not purchase AppleCare+ with your iPhone, you may purchase it at an Apple Retail Store. To buy AppleCare+ at an Apple Retail Store, a Specialist will first need to verify your iPhone purchase date and confirm that your iPhone has no pre-existing damage. Find an Apple Retail Store.

Applecare+ isn't available in Ireland, I believe. Could be wrong though.

AppleCare Protection Plan basically gives you telephone and hardware support for 2 years from the purchase date. The attitude is that the sooner you buy it, the more you get out of it.

It's available in Ireland alright..I was able to order it from Apple.ie but cancelled it when I saw that disclaimer above.
Actually I think that disclaimer was from the US site.

I found this on the Irish site

The AppleCare Protection Plan can be purchased only while your iPhone is still covered under the standard one-year limited warranty. See AppleCare Protection Plan Terms and Conditions for complete product details.

Applecare+ and standard Applecare are two different things. AppleCare+ covers accidental damage, where as standard AppleCare only covers faults. As polkabunny said, AppleCare+ isn't available in Ireland.
