Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Long is by far and away our best option up top.

mclean has no right foot. that shouldve been a goal

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,801 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

McClean really is a nutter! Even the Greeks looked embarassed there.

They were very quick and technical one touch passes. No way it was soft.

It was completely soft. No one got tight, allowed them to do it. It's what made the Germans look so fcuking good too. Need to put some kind of pressure on them!

Their number 5 looks a bit of a nutter, twice he's been in the mix of some pushing and shoving

That was a pretty depressing first half. Two yellow cards in a friendly. Clark a whisker away from red. Ireland aren't even at the races. Greece already winning without even moving out of second gear yet. Worst part is they usually save their best for the second half so I don't really see a way back into this one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,801 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Coleman our best player by a mile.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,510 ✭✭✭✭noodler

I don't see the big hoopla with Clark.

Looked average or worst nearly everytime I have seen him play this year.

    Stupid challenge.

Half started well and then went downhill. Big chance for Hoolahan to impress because Whelan couldn't do anything worthwhile with the ball.

Coleman was the brightest thing in a green shirt in that half imo. Long did well also.

Hoping for a lot better in the second half.

should of been yellow for the greek there aswell

Steve Staunton has put on some beef - comfort eating after being sacked so many times?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

Let it go Stan; the penalty wasn't given. And stop eating all the pies!

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,488 ✭✭✭celtictiger32

best point of the match so far is the nearly empty ground, the fai have to take note of this that the fans are voting with their feet and staying away. get rid of this italian dinosaur and get a good irish manager in that can actually communicate with the players and not excommunicate them.

He's a big man for the Guinness as well. I'm sure that doesn't help.

that goal was fcuking embarressing. everybody just stood around and watched. paul fcuking green wouldve looked like a superstar with that amount of time and space

Should have left Long on and taken Cox off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,801 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

I completely forgot Cox was playing, joke he is still on!

Crazy taking Long off instead of Cox. Trap def has something against Long.

Have they announced the attendance yet?

is cox becoming a "green" figure, a trap favourite for no apparent reason (apart from the fact he scored a goal in a friendly in one of his first few games)?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,801 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

    Fcuking Cox!

their abacus only goes up to 10, they thought it would suffice for tonight but they'll spin it that they got a bigger crowd than they expected

Coleman really is a lovely little player, always positive and always provides an option for Mcclean

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

How Hoolahan has had to wait 4 years for second cap is a disgrace.

    Cox crocked.

If only we could sub Long back on.

Or maybe Trap should have taken Cox off in the first place instead of bearing a grudge against Long.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,306 ✭✭✭sonic85

andy keogh! yeah - fist pump

honestly though is there nobody else?

andy keogh isn't as bad as people think when played up front, he'll score tonight, out wide i agree he is useless but up front he is slighly better than cox which isn't saying much really but there you go
