Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If only we could sub Long back on.

Or maybe Trap should have taken Cox off in the first place instead of bearing a grudge against Long.

Ah great, the hero v Germany is on....as Long our best striker is back on the bench where idiot Trap loves to have him

Not many Irish players having an influence on the game. Very dead game.

According to houghton Keogh will be full of confidence after his goal in the drubbing against Germany. Regardless of the fact he's utterly useless and playing with Milwall

Hoolahan looks the most gifted midfielder we've had on the field since Andy Reid.

John O Shea really has lost any ability he had

I wonder what the Greek keeper looks like. He's having a very quiet night.

Hoolahan's positivity on the ball makes me want to cry....4 years worth of tears.

He's been playing well for a while now too which is sad

best point of the match so far is the nearly empty ground, the fai have to take note of this that the fans are voting with their feet and staying away. get rid of this italian dinosaur and get a good irish manager in that can actually communicate with the players and not excommunicate them.
lol, I'd bet you'd prefer Pat Fenlon or similar. Hate on, Trapp has a while to go in the job yet.

Ibrahimovic christens the stadium in stockholm with a hattrick, and mcclean still struggling to get a cross past the first defender. roll on march!

John O Shea really has lost any ability he had

He's been transformed into a CB. Quality for Sunderland in fairness to him although it probably is their good midfield which saves him from embarrassment.

    He's very very average now

great effort - and thats his good foot

Nice to see Meyler. Good player.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,510 ✭✭✭✭noodler

Funny Martin O'Neil hasn't noticed O'Shea is finished.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34,424 ✭✭✭✭The_Kew_Tour

You feel that was our last chance in this game. Feeling Greece will hold out now or get one on break, even with 20 minutes left.

Good to see Meyler involved, good player...great to see him over the injuries

Nice to see Meyler. Good player.

    Based on what?

Something you heard about him 2 or three years ago when he was briefly playing Premiership football with Sunderland?

69% possession Ireland, better than Barcelona, haha.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,414 ✭✭✭Lord Trollington

This has 1-1 written all over it. And Traps absolute fallacy unbeaten run begins once more.

A lot of people complain about Keane but I feel like he would have gotten us back into this game if he were on the pitch.

    Your username serves you well.

O'Neill sees him play nearly everyday. He is having a poor time of it internationally but we'll have number back eventually.

It's certainly not trolling. It's glaringly obvious that O'Shea is on the decline.

He is a very poor International footballer and always has been. Has been the cause of numerous goals against us.

We really are a poor side. And we're really not helped by Trap's tactics and decision making when we're a goal behind. :(

The username comment was about your Heskey/O'Neill hyperbole!

    And you know it was!

It's the same old faces that have let us down tonight.

    Ward, Whelan, Cox.

I highlighted these as our weak links before the start of the match and have been proven correct once again.

    Cant fault Coleman. Irish MOM

    By far.

Thought McCarthy was decent and Houlihan had a good start to the second half. But the rest of the team have been poor. Ward has be atrocious.
