Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why cant he prove it in Scotland? Thats an utterly rubbish perception bandied about by people that dont watch the league they are criticising and/or cant judge a player unless he's in a league they watch.

He has excelled in Scotland, certainly shown that he's capable of playing at higher level and he has performed very well in Europe over the past 2 seasons. If he hasnt proven it at all then its a case of you not watching the player and casting dispersions through ignorance than any actual insight.

It's nothing to do with ignorance. It would be ignorant to say whether Forster has been good or not based on little first hand knowledge of the league that he is playing. But you are talking about proof and what Forster has done to prove that he's in the same league as Joe Hart.

The Scottish Premier League is objectively a lower quality than the English Premier League. That is a fact borne-out by UEFA coefficients. The quality of player supplying crosses into his penalty area and peppering his goal with shots and headers is lower than is the case with Hart.

You said that Forster has proven that he is on a similar level to Hart. I don't believe that that is the case. Maybe he is on that level but he certainly hasn't proved it.

To say it for the 3rd time, I never argued that the SPL was at the same level of the EPL. I said that he has shown that he's capable of playing at higher level than the SPL and he's proven that by his performances in the Europa League & Champions League.

Are you going to stand by your statement that he's not proven himself at all?!

If you're going to continue to use the word "proven" then I don't see how I cannot. Playing in the SPL, woth a handful of European matches throw in doesn't prove anything. He may have suggested that he's capable of playing at a high level, he may be capable of being a top International but he hasn't proven anything.

Judging a goalkeeper's ability to play a higher level is fairly easy compared to any other position, it's not like it entails much different skills to what he's displaying at Celtic.
