Resitting part of the leaving cert?

    Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could please tell me what the procedure is for resitting part of the leaving cert? I just missed out on veterinary last year and I really want to be a vet. I was wondering if for points you can only count subjects sat in the same year of the leaving cert or if you could resit certain subjects and if you could mix and match points from different years?

    Thank you. :)

you can only calculate points using the best 6 subjects in any one year. you could get the chemistry requirement separately though.

As Patchy said you can only count 6 subjects from one year. If you were to repeat though, you wouldn't have to repeat your weaker subjects- for example if you disliked Irish and English you could do different subjects instead- provided you passed them already of course.
