Kitchen appliance- What is it called????

Hi all, Looking for a kitchen appliance that will whizz up breadcrumbs for me. I have a large kenwood but i can never be bothered to get it out and use it for small things. I have seen these smaller appliances on tv programmes but i have no idea what they are called. Anyone know? Thanks.

You could use a spice grinder for small batches, but any food processor, smoothy maker, liquidiser etc. should all work fine.

Back in the day, before all manner of electric whizzers were invented, I used to make breadcrumbs by hand by rubbing pieces of stale bread together. Works great, but the bread does have to be stale.

+1, most recommend stale bread for breadcrumbs.

If you have a loaf of stale bread (my tesco sell them off for 10cent at the end of the day) you can blitz the whole lot and put them into little bags and freeze loads of them. Breadcumbs freeze pretty well, just make sure they are not squished together of course.

This is also handy for filling up voids in your freezer, to make it more efficient -which I was describing in this thread

I have a Braun Multimix, It has a motor and several attachments Whisk, Blender and Blade, and stickmixer.
Very compact and handy.
