Have never been as wet playing golf, and the ride home was like one of those water based Disney rides, still enjoyed it though, FairPlay to the lads who travelled up.

    Did you find your jacket.

Wasn't it insane how wet the course got in the 20 minutes we were in the club house.

It was lovely for the first 7-8 holes. Bit of drizzle until the 13th and then the heavens just opened.

We gave up after 16 but there was 3 loons that finished the round.

Nobody was quite sure of the scores when we got back to the clubhouse because the cards resembled a piece of kitchen towel that had been used to mop up a spillage.

Just home now. Jesus what a disaster of a back nine. Absolutely soaked to the skin! A pretty eventful day..nearly killed myself onroute after the sat nav took me some back arse roads and I swerved into a ditch because if a lack if space for two cars

was kind of burning up the front nine. A four putt and a lost drive stopped me from having a very good nine. Hit 5 of the 9 greens.

Back nine was when it started to get cold and wet and the heavens finally opened on and I definitely struggled. I'll admit i'm a Fairweather golfer and if I thought it was going to be half as wet as that I wouldn't have gone near a golf course..

apart from the golf the company was too notch. Sound bunch of lads and hopefully I'll make it for some games in the SUMMRR

Those of us that finished the 18 holes also enjoyed it :)
It's a wonder the men in the white coats werent sent out to bring us away! They prob wouldn't have gone out in the rain!! Walking up the 18th with a river flowing down to meet you summed up the late afternoon!

Still, was an enjoyable day out, great company again. Golf was rusty - par/scratch/birdie/scratch etc. But still any day you get to hit a golf ball is a good day in my books.
