    Hi, i need some information, i am actually leaving Ireland forever at the end of this month, i want to buy a laptop at PC WORLD before going back.
    I have heard that i can claim my vat at the airport. Suppose if i buy the laptop cash, will i be able to claim the VAT?? Please help:(:(:(:

    As long as you're written for tax in Ireland (the rest of this year at least) you will not be able to reclaim VAT,

    VAT can be re-claimed by full-time residents of countries outside the EU

    Are you leaving the EU or are you going to another EU country?

    You might actually be better off buying a laptop at the airport as the prices are lower

    Every time I've been in an Airport, (Singapore, Dublin, Schiphol, Dusseldorf to name a few) i've compared some items to Amazon and Amazon has always been cheaper :)
