Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Allen got a nasty enough kick to the head there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,397 ✭✭✭✭Turtyturd

Ouch...half expecting the Rodgers to charge onto the pitch screaming at the Wigan player for hitting his man.

Im fairly confident i have never said that sentence on here before. I felt it was a refreshing change to me saying "Enter Neutrals" when we concede.

Stop saying either please, it's tiresome imo.

I think he's a geordie, although Enrique has done alright. Battled well and put in some great crosses.

    Opr

pretty poor so far, just not putting enough pressure on Wigan.. we have 2 pacy players in Suarez and Sterling, can we not give them a pass to run on to ?

We seem to only play with any kind of urgency when we are a goal down.... if we dont buck up, i can see wigan scoring and us not being able to break them down...

I think he has for every player. Everyone has been in fantastic form this season according to him. Will be funny when cole comes on he won't know what to say

Is there an actual gameplan here, the players look as if they don't give a ****, it's soul destroying it.

Fuck this. I'm off to watch some paint dry. Pitiful.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Well then, Enrique did rather well I though, Glen Jo too, Sterling was a spectator for most of that half, Henderson clearly on to help batten down the middle, and if Allen does not come out after HT I'd say Shelvey will come in. Gerrard and Suarez both selfish too often.

Oh and I liked the Reina shuffle, its his hands rather than his feet that scare me.

    Possession 48% v 52%
    Corners 8 v 2
    Goal attempts 10 v 4
    On target 1 v 1

I've not been watching but a quick skim through the thread says it's quite boring.

9 shots on goal. 1 on target... and that was straight at the keeper.

Just so you know, I brought Suarez into my fantasy team and made him captain. If he doesn't score and Pool fail to win that's why.

That's pretty standard lately. If we fail to win this (get a draw, say) and lose to Spurs away (very likely), that'll be 13 points from 13 games. When does it get worrying? If we get to 19 games and have something like 22 points, what about then?

Well that piece of work by Henderson where he basically chased the Wigan team until they passed it back to the goalie suggests why he was brought on, though you might say that not why Suso was subbed (he is not expected to do that sort of thing). I'd have subbed Sterling myself if the plan is a more solid middle.

I think it's because they have an incredible amount of dirge and want to cash in before the last of their fans ebb away.

on topic: Brendan doing well in the false manager role.

Sterling did well though I thought he'd put it too far back, great finish for somebody who isn't a natural goal scorer.
