    We can see stars moving.

    So there aren't fixed holes in the sky. :)

    The sky isn't an actual thing...we have the atmosphere, layers of various gases which insulate us from the vacuum of space. The reason the sky appears blue at day time is due to different light spectra (colours) reflecting and bouncing off these gases, which are mostly colourless themselves. Stars are extremely distant suns some of which are ten times the size of our own. If it took 8 mins to get to the sun, it'd take 4 YEARS to get to the nearest star.

    They are moving relative to each other.

    And you also have to take into account the redshift and and the orbital wobbles when a planet goes around a star
