Are there any laws re: construction noise pollution on a Sunday?

Hi folks,
I live in a semi detached building and one of the bunch next door are doing a refurbishment of their building. All day today there has been drills going and plenty of banging. While I accept the people have to work, I dont like all this noise on a Sunday. Are there any regulations to deal with this kind of noise?

Tried that, a bunch of Polish lads appear to be contracted to do the work, their English is not the best. Its not their fault anyway as they are just doing what they are told.
