Stock taking / factory workplace software

    Would any of you guys know what type of software your typical factory would use?

    ya know the full screen very basic function programs that would be used for stock taking or stock input?

    I've never really came accross anything like it online, and was wondering if you would know how to get it, or if it even was avilable?

    most factories would use a sql based database with bar codes on the products and a bar code scanner to read them as far as i know
