Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Male Educating Children??

    Hello,

I'm looking to pursue a career with children. I'm planning on doing a degree in early childhood education in D.I.T., next year. I'm very interested in the development of the child, and I have always wanted to work in an education setting. I would eventually like to do a masters in play therapy. I was wondering because I'm a male if it would be a hindrance to me in trying to pursue a career in this profession. I'm aware Ireland has one of the lowest rates in Europe regarding men working with children, but I hope an employer would not view this as a hindrance. I'm just trying to get a good insight before I go about applying for this degree and I would love to hear opinions on the matter.

    Thank you,

    Alan.
