Anyone know if these would be ok here? I noticed earlier one of my numberplate bulbs is out. Halfords says not for use on roads but I'd hesitate to trust Halfords on anything.

Found this over on Reddit, may be handy to some people on here:

    http://justgivemethedamnmanual.com/

Owners manuals for some popular car manufacturers over in the US, still includes manufacturers such as Ford, Hyundai, Volvo, Saab, Toyota and Jeep.

Two fire trucks stopped on the M50 around Firehouse, no sign of smoke, no crash, nothing burnt and no water on the roads... Just an Alfa GT with its hood up.

Can't take the chance with these Italians I guess.

Looked like it, bunch of lads just standing around waiting for something to happen.
Caught a glimpse of the engine bay (slow moving traffic) and there was nothing out of the norm going on.

    I'd rather walk!

On looks alone, the skyline never did it for me either.

Today I saw a 131-D Porsche Cayenne; can't be too many of those in the country. Nice light coloured (tan) interior; can't stand all the grey interiored ones.

The sell them as Diesels... Pretty affordable tax.

The Skyline was never about looks. It's what it can do that makes it attractive!!
On Skylines, it's GTR or nothing for me though!

That doesn't make it acceptable. :p

I was on about the Pulsar anyway.

I was really looking for a 6bt conversion, for sh*ts and giggles :pac:

Sure a lot of Pulsars came with a 2.0D anyway..... :p

Would you even fit one in a Skyline? That's some limo of iron. Haha

    Stop! :p
There's a time and a place for diesels and it's not in fast Nissans. :D

Yes sure that 2.8 was available up to the R31! :D

Believe me, I'd make it fit :pac:

Certain Skylines I love, but a Pulsar? No thanks. I'm with Pred there and I'm a hot hatch fan to begin with!

No its nearly worse to remove than tar :( Dont know what the birds are eating

    I feel your pain.

I unexpectedly had to leave my car parked up in work for two weeks, and the ****ing bird**** on it is like some experimental chemical weapon. Stuff will not budge, the car looks horrific, and I'm dreading trying to get the stuff off.

Went to collect the car today, and the evil bastard would not start, and something is beeping intermittently in it. And given that where I park gave my partner palpitations at the thoughts of getting in so much that he got me to drive his enormous cv through the very narrow entrance/turns, I was glad he said OMG how can you park here?

Anyway jump start from his car didn't work, so I've to get the AA out tomorrow (for the third time in a year)

So current issues with my car:

    1. Something is draining power from the battery if it is left off for more than about 7 days. It kills the battery completely and it needs a jump from one of those packs the AA/Recovery people have to get it going. Was previously investigated and thought to be the alarm and fixed but seems not to be the case.
    2. Spark plugs need to be replaced.
    3. Brakes especially on the rear need to be replaced
    4. Tyres on the back definitely need to be replaced.
    5. Something is wrong with the rear suspension, I suspect the bushes as they've been replaced twice, not massive, but adds to the woes.
    6. Needs a good general service.
    7. Needs about €800 worth of paintwork repairs
    8. Needs a small repair to the drivers seat leather.

Now I've comprehensive insurance, and 5 years no claims with step back, so I could claim the paintwork damage (bizarrely it's all in the same place) on the insurance.

I estimate I need to put €1500 - €1800 into the car, I genuinely don't believe there is anything major wrong with the car (that 1500 includes the paintwork), it's a pleasure to drive when it's driving well etc etc.

I'm tempted to get the evil beast jumped tomorrow, go off and take out the gtv I posted in bangernomics this evening, see if the owner will nct it so I know it's faults, take that on, and then over time get my car up and running, it owes me nothing and I'd probably get back what I need to put into it.

    Thoughts?
