3-4 beers the night before and pre-load a couple doses of Barrocca and have a glass of milk before bed, takes the edge off of it, not been having many pissups since i got the ST mind

fuk, that'd keep you out of trouble alright.

I drove an automatic for the first time yesterday. CLK230 petrol. It's like some sort of magic first gear. You don't even notice it changing up and down. Very chilled out and lazy driving. Lacked a bit of power when you put the foot down though. Just doesn't let you rev high enough to get full power from the engine. Don't think i could ever buy one.

I'd definitely buy an auto for commuting, it'd have to be able to change manually though if I wanted.

Ye, maybe if your sitting in traffic alot. Don't get to much of that around these parts;). The box only had two settings, winter and standard. If it had a high rpm sport mode it wouldn't be so bad. I'm just stubbornly anti driving aids. I purposely never owned a car with any sort of abs or traction control. Just don't like the feeling of any of that stuff.

You would love no ESP/Differential 225bhp front wheel drive torquesteer in the rain/ice then on Accelera's then, was a nice sharp learning curve

This is my daydream car at the moment. I'd love 300zx but the tax and insurance are mental. 50 quid a year to tax one of these.

They made some lovely cars back in the day. Works of art.

There never afraid to something different either. These things are starting to grow on me. Future classics?

If they crack on with the Nismo version they could definitely catch on.
The 240Z is my favourite car, full stop. I will have one!

Just spotted a 560 SEC for sale in Meath, looks like Matt Sim's one?

Nice merc that, classic cars could be the way forward if you want to drive a big engine the way the tax rates are going...

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,721 ✭✭✭✭CianRyan

Yeah it'll seems like the right choice but with 350Z's dropping so low I know I won't be able to help myself. :p

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,373 ✭✭✭Dartz

I will never own a nice car.

    Sigh.

Sounds like fun idea. We should add Alan in the list ( and winner too ) for biggest disapoonent of the year, as he did showed up on the dead meet, but never turned up in the actual good meet! :D

They have to be, the ad says "Very fast car!!" so there's no doubt in my mind that it's an absolute rocket :pac:

In fairness, ABS is an excellent safety feature, you'd be hard pushed to stop quicker in a non abs car and a abs car of the same model.

Agh! I like a good set of steelies but those ones are horrible!

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,720 ✭✭✭Hal1

They look bad are poorly made and there rusty. Quote from the ad,
car is lowered on cut springs
That would explain the rubbing arches.
