Was washing the car today and over the last week or so since I washed it last there's loads of tar on the paint. What's the process of getting rid of it without damaging the paint? I presume holts is still the best but what then? If I just wipe it off it could do damage or does it really matter?

Also a quick question from me. OH's main key for his car (the one with the rcl etc) got oil on the motherboard/chip inside it, so it doesn't do the rcl anymore.

Is that repairable or is he looking at a new key if he wants the rcl back?

That 93 would be nice if it could go around corners w/o understeering into a tree

Was thinking that, he goes to a bar serving the best of Irish & world beers, and drinks something brewed by coors :p Each to their own I suppose.

On a motor related note, finally got the breather tubes replaced, now the cabin doesn't smell of fuel and exhaust fumes!!

Its probably borked! But if you remove the battery and clean the board with ipa or another solvent (you can buy cct board cleaner for gettin flux off maybe in maplins) dry it thoroughly, hair dryer on cold works well and put in a new battery. Oil is non conductive, so hopefully its just fouling some contacts.

I like it and they have a great selection of craft and speciality beers but their service is crap. The only pub specialising in quality beer that also have good bar service is the Bull & Castle IMO.

Ah come on the Porterhouse is down the road, some great beers there.

    (I'm a beer snob too)

Think it's borked, it wasn't working for a while when he opened it up so I''d say it's well soaked in at this stage!

New key from Autokey the best step?

You have a good rampage in Derry?

    I'm not well ;)

Btw I took the long way home, the road between enniskillin and sligo was made for my car, 30 miles of 3rd and 4th gear corners:D

Think I might have been caught speeding on the Galway side of knock though:mad:

Do the points increase with the speed?

All the roads around enniskillen are lovely, drove enniskillen to derry once.

Nah points don't increase with the speed, you should be fine.

Having been a mod (not here but on another forum) I can see how people would leave boards as a result.

    I very nearly did.

I don't really want to start another one of them chats about mods, closed accounts etc.

Whenever I spot a decent poster closing their account I've popped it up in here, we can raise our virtual glasses to the chap and wish him well :)

Travellers jailed for racing on the roads.... Appealling severity

In fairness, if you were racing somewhere where people had to duck and dodge around you you probably deserve to go to prison.
