Hamilton well on top in that first set but still managed to lose it by missing doubles. This has the makings of a good game because these two are seriously determined characters. Burnett is fired up as always, it's great to see.

I only have 20 minutes of my lunch break left though :(

And now Burnett throws a set away, missed 4 darts to win it. 1-1

Huge leg there from Hamilton to take the 3rd set

Hamilton a very hard player to beat, all sets have gone 3-2 so far.

Really wish they would stop using Bristow though, can never hear what he is saying and what I can hear bores the tits off me.

Everybody speaks differently but when you are speaking into a mike you should speak up FFS. Its like hes talking to himself.

    Maybe he is.

Gurney doing well enough here, 2-0 scoreline doesnt do him justice tbf

    Bristow pulled thank god.

Gurney unlucky to be 3 - 0 down.

Getting great praise from the Sky commentators as well

Really good performance there from Gurney, the deciding leg in 4 of the 5 sets being his downfall

I only saw bits of it but from what I saw Gurney played very well but just couldn't win the deciding leg in the sets. To be fair Gurney is a class player, he plays like all the time in tournaments around Ireland.

Maybe he will give the qualifying school a go now.

Said in an interview after the game he is definitely going for Q school. All the best to him there

Missed most of 1st game, hamilton proving once again how hard he is to beat. Gurney played some great darts, fair play to the lad & good luck for the future. He was hitting 180s for fun!

I expect Anderson to win this comfortably, but when he is so far ahead(in games or in his head) Anderson sometimes really goes off the boil, high scoring stops, double trouble rears its head. Just cant see him being consistent enough to be considered a real top class player for a number of years

How the hell did Anderson manage to lose that 4th set?

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,290 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Anderson in trouble here. He is missing far too many doubles. Could soon be 3-2 in sets down.

    And 3-2 Bowles.

What an unexpected cracker this has turned into

This is some game. Huge tension

Anderson leading a charmed life, and he knows it.

Ah John Bowles!! 2 darts missed for the match

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 12,290 Mod ✭✭✭✭Kingp35

Another dart for match missed by Bowles! How is Anderson still in this?
