An improvement in Lewis's game tonight. Still not World Championship form but personally I think he's in a great position to beat Van Gerwen considering Van Gerwen's injuries which will surely hinder him in a battle with the reigning World Champ. An impressive victory from Barneveld but helped in no doubt by Anderson's array of missed doubles.

The 1st 2 quarter finals take place tomorrow evening. I'm really looking forward to the 1st game at 7 15pm between Barney and Whitlock. I think Barney is the main challenger left to Phil Taylor in that half of the draw so I expect a Barney win here but Whitlock to give him a hard battle I expect.

I wouldn't be Hamilton's greatest fan but you would have to admire his battling qualities and his ability to grind down opponents. However Phil Taylor is a different proposition altogether and I expect an easy 5-1 victory here for Taylor. Hamilton had his big chance against Phil a few weeks back in the Players Championship and bottled it big time and I suspect this is no doubt still playing in his mind and Taylor will take full advantage to heap more misery on his opponent.

Supposedly he has a fracture in his right foot and has done his achillies tendon in his left foot. He was limping badly up on stage tonight yet he still averaged 100 in his victory over Colin Lloyd.

Hamilton has been improving but I can't see him beating the guy he's never beaten and barney seems to be not beating himself up anymore so I think it has to be Taylor v barney

High standard in that first set. I'm hoping Whitlock has another gear, Barney looks unstoppable at the minute.
