    Barney's own fault. Taylor is obv in his head. The biggest mistake of all though was letting that cat out of the bag in his post-quarter final interview. After that Taylor went into full wum mode.

    why is barney's standard dropping so badly?

    you won't bet taylor unless you are in and around 100 average, barney has done it in every match so far - why not this one?

    3-1 down, he needs to lift it pronto, needs more maximums, both men finishing well but scoring poorly

    Because he actually is afraid of Taylor. Or at least Taylor has messed with his head somehow.

    Both players are playing terrible atm, However the power is pulling out the odd treble and decent finish, have to think Van Gerwen would wipe the floor with both these

    Awful decision making from Barney. Taylor isn't really being tested here at all, he will be tested by MVG.

    Fair to say this game hasn't lived up to the hype.

    that was a key moment, missing that double 15, if he had taken it out he would have had the throw to get it back to 3-2

    looking tough for barney now, as mardle says he just needs to speed things up and try to bang in loads of big scores to drag himself back into it

    Hes like the lad who keeps insisting he will lose, so as to avoid the disappointing when it happens.

    Absolutely but MVG is a whole different ball game to Barney. There won't be the sulking, he'll stick at it, that's for sure and his big scoring and high tempo could trouble Taylor. It will definitely trouble hin more than Barney tonight anyway.

    Why does barney stay on stage during the breaks early on when a break is exactly what he needs . At least then silvia could give him a kick in the arse. He needs to see a psychologist

    Sometimes I just wonder what goes through Barney's head at times? The past fortnight the man looked relaxed and chilled out and he looked back to his best and very confident. But tonight he looks a broken man up on stage with the worries of the World on his shoulders!

    After all the hype from Sky this has turned out to be a miserable game!
