Stars beside username

OK, I may be slow .. but I just realized I have some stars beside my username. Have they always been there and what do they mean?

And how do I get all 5?

Some people seem to have the old stars, while others have the new stars.

I, for one, am terrified.

Everyone should have the same old stars they've always had, hit ctrl + f5 there.

Ctrl f5 does nothing, I'll clear my cache and see if that does it.

Edit: Nope, Boneyarse still has new stars (showing an outline of the stars he hasn't earned) everyone else on the thread has the old stars. I'm using the old beta skin so could be affecting it?

clearing cache *should* have the same thing as clearing your cache though. but yeah clearing cache will bring back the old stars.

Huzzah to having new stars and others not. Har-har.

someone is going to take my stars away now, aren't they?

the image of 4 blue stars is cached on our server, if i had access to the servers from my current machine i would fix it but alas i do not. shall be gone in the morning.

If you zoom into some of the new and old stars (depending on skin) you _may_ just see an extra pixel situated in cryptically reasonful places, if you work out the code hidden within all of the stars by checking all of the _odd_ pixels, and their relativity to the other pixels, you'll be enlightened.

OK so I hacked the pixels onto the mainframe by reversing the polarity of the stars' neutron flow, and the code seems to be directions to where Facekicker is buried.

First time I've seen word of this and boney has the new stars for me, with the fifth unshaded.
