Looking to get some timber to throw together a few raised beds. Anyone any idea of the cost of timber (2x6s) as can't seem to find out on the net, builders merchants don't quote prices which is wierd.

If for a raised veggie bed.........

    3 x 8 foot long scaffold planks for 3 euro a plank.

Box of 50mm deck screws 7-8 euro.

12 foot length of pressure treated 2 x 2 is 4 euro 50 cents ...(corner stakes).

Theres your raised bed right there.:)

You will see plenty of raised beds made this way on many an allotment.:)

If for a normal garden raised bed.........

You can go for a bigger chunkier beefier setup, but these pressure treated sleepers will cost you 18-19 euro a sleeper in a builders providers.Thats still a very very good price, compared to garden centres and sawmills.

Perfectly safe to use for raised beds too.

goodwins website is very good for prices as it has everything listed in size.

I have no connection with them but find their website a good guide for clients.
