    The question, within the topic did say "European cup" but they shouldn't have had the main question as Champions League as it's rather misleading.

    The Champions League started in 1992 and no Scotish team has got to a final since then which had me confused. There's a lot of information to try and process with those questions within a minute.

    He did, he said Champions League then at the very end when giving the answers he said "or European Cup". In that cast surely there should have been more pointless answers for host cities too?

    Well that's what had me confused too. There's only been United, Chelsea and Liverpool in an actual Champions League final.... right?

    Me too. At least I thought Dynamo was Blaine and didn't know who Blaine was!

    Can't believe I got a soccer pointless answers. I know hardly anything about soccer, but for countries with no teams I thought it fair to go for some of the smaller countries (UN Member doesn't hold in this case) and went with Faroe Islands, Andorra (both listed as Pointless) and Liechtenstein (not mentioned). Very pleased with that!

    That was as badly worded a final round question as I've seen on pointless. As well as the Champions League/European Cup confusion it would have been very difficult to work out under pressure that it wasn't just English and Scottish players but that they had to be with English and Scottish clubs - so, for instance, Vladimir Smicer would be right because he scored for Liverpool but Steve McManaman would be wrong because he scored for Real Madrid. Not a good question for a Christmas charity special really.

    I think it's:
    United in 99, 2008, 2009 and 2011.
    Liverpool in 2005 and 2007
    Arsenal in 2006
    Chelsea in 2008 and 2012.

    There would have been plenty of answers to work with from there. As a celebrity version I guess they made it even easier for them.

    I've just seen on twitter that people are questioning Richard about the question. It looks like penalties in a shoot-out were allowed too as David Luiz was in fact Pointless. A great advert for the show there :(

    No wonder they're looking for a new question setter.
