ESB account holder moved out, want to change details across to myself

    How do,
    I am wondering what the best way of going about the above is? My housemate moved out, and I just want settle the account from the day he moved out and then change the account details across to myself and change the DD details to myself

    Hi Conor,

    We can do this for you. Just send us, by private message:

    • Your name and the address of the property
    • The MPRN number (available from previous occupant, landlord or estate agent)
    • The meter reading on the date your housemate moves out
    • Your contact number and date of birth (for security reasons)
    We will then transfer the account into your name. If you're new to Electric Ireland, or if you have not held an account within the past two years, you would need to either:
    • Sign up for Direct Debit
    • Or pay a security deposit of €300
