One desktop and two monitors

I know there is an easy solution but i just cant think of it.
I have a desktop computer down stairs and its working perfectly.

But i bought a widescreen desktop computer for the bedroom, just for watching films ect on.

What is the best way to connect the monitor in the bedroom to the desktop down stairs? i would also like to use a mouse and keyboard in the bedroom.

Can this be done wireless? or would i have to run cables around the house.

Any info on how to do this wireless would be great.

Never used them but seem to be the type of thing you are after.

install Real VNC on both computers then u can remote control the other pc from the bedroom pc

it's free too as long as both pcs are on the same network it will work

Is there any limitation on Real VNC for video play back?

If its just for accessing files, you could make a share of the media folder.

I operate a PC with 2 screens but it needs to have a dual graphic card to do this, might just be cheaper to hook it to a laptop.

Theres no need, one computer can connect to the other. You can control the downstairs PC from the upstairs if they are on the same network. Or via the internet for that matter.

Just buy another Video card

VNC over the wireless would be the easiest to connect to the downstairs PC. I wouldn't recommend viewing a movie using VNC though.
