Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

History books could be rewritten, as 35 years ago, one of the Viking craft's instruments reported finding some form of life in the Mars atmosphere which was latter assumed to be contamination.
One experiment turned positive for the detection of metabolism (current life), but based on the results of the other two experiments that failed to reveal any organic molecules in the soil, most scientists became convinced that the positive results were likely caused by non-biological chemical reactions from highly oxidizing soil conditions.

Well they know water is there, just not in liquid form(at the surface anyway, but may be liquid below in a high salinity state) and there's both water and carbon dioxide ice at the poles, which ebbs and flows with the Martian seasons.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.
