Well if thats true its a shocking excuse.

ROG is definitely scared to tackle correctly.

    Simply untrue.

    Well the alternatives are:

    a) He does tackle correctly
    b) He doesn't know how to tackle correctly
    c) He chooses not to tackle correctly

can you really make a case for (a)?

No he didn't. It was a poor effort. Trimble easily set the ball up for fast ball and that led directly to the try. A good tackle would have either knocked him back, knocked the ball out of his arms, wrapped him and held him up or smothered him so he couldn't provide lightning quick ball. It was ROG's usual speed bump effort. Plenty of guts but feck all else.

It was a tackle by a great man.....does that not make it a great tackle :pac:

    Nah you're right.

He is the man to lead us; sacking him will solve nothing
Dropping your hips, straightening your back and driving into a bigger man is brave, even if you get smashed.

Sitting on your arse and grabbing someone's shorts as they run over you is just bottling it IMO.

re: ROG defense: Is this conversation happening again? ;)

Kidney / setup, need to get the crowd going early in Landsdowne tomorrow. If I don't see at least two wrap arounds / something lovely off the back of a lineout or something, any form a response.
Worst feeling watching the SA game back again was the sad sense of inevitability around Ireland in the second half when SA stepped up, a teeny bit, to a mere shadow of themselves.

That's leadership/captaincy/on the pitch stuff etc. etc. but the staff and players have to TRY something.
