    Hi folks,

    Am stuck with a problem in excel 2010 i was hoping someone may be able to help me with.

    Say I've got a range of dates Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr/May

    and an event that started in Feb and finished in Apr

    I want to have a table what will calculate 1 for Feb/Mar/Apr to show the event was live during those months but 0 for Jan and May.

    I've tried if functions and if functions within if functions (not too hot at those) but cant get it.

    Below i set out teh raw data and below that the desired result, can anyone help?

    Start End
    Event 1 Feb 12 Apr 12
    Event 2 Jan 12 Mar 12

    Jan-12 Feb-12 Mar-12 Apr-12 May-12
    Event 1 0 1 1 1 0
    Event 2 1 1 1 0 0
