Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Suso is just different gravy.

He has that ability to make the game look so easy.

Was loving the Shelvey chant at the weekend

To the tune of 2-Unlimited - no limit

    Jonjo,
    Jonjo Jonjo
    Jonjo Jonjo
    Jonjo Jonjo Shelvey

is johnno and wisdom def not available for swansea so?

I didn't know there was a doubt over Johnson but to me it seems we play better with enrique higher up the pitch . I don't know what has happened to flanagan though he looked like he was next to make the move up . Well ahead of Suso , Wisdom and Sterling .

    Rafa Benitez becomes Chelsea manager.

Joe Cole has a good game for Liverpool.

Not sure which of these two is leaving me more confused and shocked.

Still looks like he's carrying a few extra pounds, still struggling for breath and still too slow.

    Cole has done well.

But my God, he is disgracefully unfit.

Huffing and puffing and hands on the hips.

In fairness about ****ing time :pac:

Sahin is out there, isn't he?

Mixed bag of a half, Suso looking good now if he could only finish, Shelvey and Cole having their moments. Swapping Wisdom for Gerrard was interesting but not sure if its made that much difference to be honest, unless it was to protect Sahin a bit keeping him on to get game time.

it's easy to let his inflated wages and abject performances affect the reality that he was (and probably still is) a very talented footballer.

Nice to see him playing well and hope he gets the full 90 mins now.

It's incredible how unfit Cole is! He reminds me of me playing football, constantly looks short of breath!

He's played well though in fairness to him, a bit hit and miss but was very good for the goal.

I just wonder about that side - Cole struggling to get back and Henderson at fullback. Cole can't last much beyond the hour mark so I would expect a change here.

Downing's looked tidy at left back.

slightly harsh, Damien Duff looked out of breath after 5 mins his whole career.

Trust me he could run 10k quicker than most of us could dream about doing it. He might not be at peak fitness but he's gotta be incredibly fit.

Joe Cole is a model to get MOTM unless there some kind of major implosion on his end.

If that's the case, and he's a professional football player, and above all a liverpool player - shame on him...

(Not defending smoking for any pro, I smoke myself!)

Doesn't Berbatov smoke too and so did Hamann and they looked fairly fit .

Neither are/were ever exactly known for their pace or energy.

Amazed that any pro would smoke. Can't be good for lung capacity, fitness, etc. that said, I remember seeing Brian ODriscoll smoking like a chimney in town one night. It was years ago, just when he was breaking onto he scene. Didn't seem to slow him down much!

I just saw this on the BBC's live scores

Paul, Dundee, via text: "Re 2100. Phil, you'd be in exactly the same place. Shelvey is a liability. I'm sure many Liverpool fans wished he'd stayed at Charlton.

The mind really does boggle !

Wisdom is off injured so he was the logical choice .

Doesn't Berbatov smoke too and so did Hamann and they looked fairly fit .
Rooney, Barthez, Ashley Cole, Sheringham (played until he was 40 I think)
    Ballotelli, Cruyff all smoked.

    Probably lots more.
