just a question. i (finally) got my Ray updated to ics yesterday. happy days. only one thing. i've found the picture quality from the camera to be noticably worse since the update (much noisier pictures). have any other Ray owners noticed this? and if so, any solutions out there anybody knows of???

i think it has to do with file compression under the new updated software.

have a look at the discussion linked below. it's about the xperia T which i have but a lot of people are very annoyed with the way the camera works. The 'T' has a 13mp camera (the reason i bought it) but it compresses every file down to about 2-3mb in size after the shot leaving a very poor looking photo. Can't understand how this got approved in the first place.

But that's not all - i also discovered today that Sony's PC Companion software used to update the phone etc, is not available for MAC OS X which is what i have.

so yesterday the phone told me an update was available but due to the large file type (37MB) it could only be installed via WiFi. went to my local for a pint as i only have a dongle and tried to connect to the WiFi. Phone would not connect to it.

came home and discovered I also could not update via macbook.

so i actually cannot update my phone it seems. Crazy stuff - a case of buyers regret here.

Yes you can, Sony Bridge for Mac is what you need!
